CHAPTER 386.

AN ACT releasing the right of this State to a
distributive portion of the personal estate of
James O'Hara, deceased, in favor of James W.
O'Hara, his only son and next of kin.

WHEREAS Matilda O'Hara, widow and relict of
James O'Hara, late of Baltimore city, deceased,
became entitled to a distributive portion of the
personal estate of her said husband, but departed
this life before the distribution of the said estate
was made ; and whereas the said widow has left
no personal representative or next of kin, by
means whereof the said portion has rested in the
State for the benefit of the Schools of Baltimore
city, and it being right that the said son should
be permitted to receive the personal estate of his
father ; therefore,

Preamble.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the right of this State to the
distributive portion of the personal estate of James
O'Hara, late of Baltimore city, deceased, to which
his widow, Matilda J. O'Hara, became entitled,
which has now rested in this State for the benefit
of the schools of Baltimore city, by reason of the
want of representatives or next of kin of the said
Matilda J. O'Hara, be and the same is hereby re-
leased to the said James W. O'Hara, whose receipt
to the said administrator shall be a sufficient ac-
. quittance of the same.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.
