nesses and compelled to testify against any person
or persons who may have committed any of the
above offences. Provided, that all persons so com-
pelled to testify in any such case or cases, shall be
exempt from trial and punishment for the offence
of which such person so testifying may have been
guilty.

Proviso.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 370.

AN ACT to appoint a Commission of three per-
sons to meet a like number of persons appointed
by the State of Virginia to settle and adjust the
boundary line on the Eastern Shore of the
Chesapeake Bay, between the States of Virginia
and Maryland.

 

SECTION 1 . Se it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That Isaac D. Jones, William J.
Aydelott and Levin S. Waters, be and they are
hereby appointed Commissioners on the part of the
State of Maryland to meet a like number of per-
sons appointed or to be appointed by the State of
Virginia, to settle and adjust the boundary line on
the Eeastern Shore of the Chesapeake Bay, be-
tween the States of Virginia and Maryland, their
work to be reported to the General Assembly at its
next session for approval or rejection.

Commission-
ers appointed.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That each of said Com-
missioners shall receive for said services five dol-
lars per day for the time occupied in the discharge
of said duty, and his necessary expenses.

Per diem.

Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.
