CHAPTER 365.

AN ACT to incorporate the Prince George's
County Central Turnpike Company.

Commission-
ers appointed.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That John Fairfax, Richard W. W.
Bowie, John E. Berry, B. Leonard Jackson, Geo.
W. Berry, Thomas E. Berry, Jonathan L. Wal-
ker, Thomas Berry of Concord, Thomas E. Wil-
liams, Benjamin Beall, Thomas L. Hume, E. E.
White, Joseph B. Bryant and William B. Jack-
son, be and they are hereby appointed commis-
sioners to take subscriptions to the capital stock of
the Prince George's County Central Turnpike
Company hereby incorporated, and they or a ma-
jority of them may cause books to be opened at
such times and places and for such period or
periods, upon giving such notice as they may deem
expedient of the times and places of opening the
same, and if any of the commissioners shall die,
resign or refuse to act, another or others may be
appointed in his or their stead by a majority of
the remaining commissioners.

Incorporation

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the subscribers
of said stock, their successors and assigns, shall
be and they are hereby declared to be incorporated
into a Company by the name of the "Prince
George's County Central Turnpike Company,"
and by that name shall be capable in law of pur-
chasing, holding, selling, leasing and consigning
estates, real, personal and mixed, so far as may be
necessary for the purposes hereinafter mentioned
and no farther, and shall have succession, and by
said corporate named may sue and be sued, and
may have and use a common seal which they
shall have power to alter or renew at their plea-
sure, and shall have, enjoy and may exercise all
the powers, rights and privileges which other cor-
porate bodies may lawfully do for the purposes
mentioned in this Act,

Capital stock.

Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That the capital stock
of said Prince George's County Central Turnpike
Company shall be one hundred thousand shares of
twenty dollars each, and that when two hundred
