purposes of said Company and the benefit of its
corporators, given and granted to the said Com-
pany as fully and perfectly as if the same were
herein again repeated, beginning the same at the
mines of said Company, and running to a conve-
nient point or points on the line of any other rail-
road or railroads now constructed, or that may
hereafter be constructed in Allegany County, and
for the using and preserving the said Railroad, its
necessary vehicles and appurtenances, and every
part thereof, or borrowing money on the credit of
said Company for its lawful purposes.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
be in force from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 338.
AN ACT to amend the Act incorporating the Wes-
tern Railroad Company
|
|
Issue bonds.
|
SECTION 1 . Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the President and Directors of
the Western Maryland Railroad Company, or a
majority of them, be and they are hereby author-
ized to issue the bonds of said Company for an
amount not exceeding one million dollars, or any
part thereof, in addition to the sum now authorized
by the charter of the said Company, and any
amendment thereof bearing an interest of not more
than six per cent, per annum, redeemable in the
year eighteen hundred and ninety, and converta-
ble into the stock of said Company, at the option
of the holders thereof, and to secure the payment
of said bonds by a mortgage or mortgages convey-
ing all the present and after to be acquired proper-
ty, real and personal, of said Company, connected
with its present road and its extension to Hagers-
town, and also all the net revenues to be acquired
by it from such part of the road.
