to the lowest bidder for the ensuing year ; and said
publications shall not be made in more than one
newspaper published in said county, and the said
Commissioners shall not allow the party or parties
that shall have contracted for such printing or
publishing any extra compensation or allowance
whatsoever over and above the amount contracted
for any printing or publishing that the said party
or parties may claim to have done.

CHAPTER 331.

AN ACT to incorporate a Company to make a
Turnpike road from Wood Point to the Pennsyl-
vania line, or to Williamsport and Mercersburg
road in Washington County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That a Company is hereby incorpo-
rated to make a Turnpike road from Wood Point
to the Pennsylvania line, or from Wood Point to
the old Williamsport and Mercersburgh road in
Washington County, as the said Company may
deem best.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the capital stock
of said Company shall not be more than thirty
thousand dollars in shares of twenty-five dollars
each.

Sec. 3. And be it enacted , That books of sub-
scription shall be opened at Hagerstown and at
the Broad Fording Mills en or before the first of
May, eighteen hundred and sixty-eight, for sub-
scription for the capital stock of said Company,
and that Samuel H. Miller, Samuel H. Alter, Fris-
by T. Spickler, Jacob Martin, Nelson I. Ditto and
John Teller, be and they are hereby appointed
Commissioners to receive such subscriptions of
stock.
