being four acres more or less ; also a certain lot of
ground belonging to said parish and now in pos-
session of said Vestry, which said land is situate
at Vansville, Prince George's County, containing
about three-fourths of an acre, more or less, being
the same land donated by John C. Herbert, de-
ceased, to said Parish, and which land adjoins the
lands of Dr. Walter T. Belt and the land formerly
owned by the said John G. Herbert.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 314.
AN ACT to incorporate the Baltimore and Swann
Lake Passenger Railway Company.

SECTION 1 . Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland , That James L. Sutton, A. W. Brad-
ford, Hiram Woods, Jr., Dr. W. R. Monroe,
George Merryman, Daniel Adler and W. S. G.
Baker, be and they are hereby appointed Commis-
sioners to take subscriptions to the capital stock of
the Baltimore and Swann Lake Passenger Railway
Company, hereby incorporated, and they, or a ma-
jority of them, may cause books to be opened at
such times and places, and for such period or
periods, and with such notice as they may deem ex-
pedient, and may re-open the same from time to
time for the purpose of receiving subscriptions to
said capital stock ; and if any of the aforesaid

Commissioners shall die, resign, or refuse to serve,
another or others may be appointed in his or their
stead by a majority of the remaining Commission-
ers.
Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the subscri-
bers to said stock, and their assessors and assigns,
shall be and are hereby declared to be incorporated
