CHAPTER 308.
|

AN ACT to authorize the President, Managers
and Company of the Baltimore and Yorktown
Turnpike Road to run cars for conveying pas-
sengers on the Sabbath day, commonly called
Sunday.
|
Run cars on
Sabbath.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the President, Managers and
Company of the Baltimore and Yorktown Turn-
pike Road, be and they are hereby authorized and
empowered to run their cars, for conveying pas-
sengers, on the Sabbath day, commonly called
Sunday.
|
Repealed.
|
Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That all Acts incon-
sistent with the provisions of this Act, be and the
same are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 309.
AN ACT to increase the fees of the Sheriff of St.
Mary's County, and to repeal Section one hun-
dred and eighteen of the Code of Public Local
Laws of said county in reference thereto.

Charge for
prisoners.
|
SECTION 1, Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Sheriff of St. Mary's
County shall be entitled to receive sixty cents per
day for keeping prisoners and furnishing them
with food, and that Section one hundred and eigh-
teen of the Public Local Laws, entitled St. Mary's
County, relating thereto, be and the same is hereby
repealed.
