ties to the said proceedings herein before provided
for shall have the right to appeal to the Court of
Appeals from any judgment of any of the Courts
heretofore named ; and upon such appeal being
prayed the record of the said cause shall be forth-
with transmitted to the Court of Appeals if then
in session or to the next term thereof if not in ses-
sion ; and the said cause so transmitted shall be
placed upon the special docket of the said Court,
and shall be heard and determined at the first ses-
sion of the said Court after the transmission of the
said record as afore'said.

Sec. 5. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 303.

AN ACT to incorporate the Cecil Land and Loan
Company.

 

SECTION 1 . Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That William Scotten, George G.
Simpson, John H. Goodwin, William Kline,
Hurbey Harvey, William D. Alexander and Dela-
plaine McDaniel, with such other persons as may
now be, or are hereafter associated with them,
shall be, and they are hereby created a body
politic and corporate by the name, style and title
of "The Cecil Land and Loan Company," for
the purpose of accumulating a fund from monthly
contributions, fines, premiums on loans, and in-
terest or profits on investments, for the benefit of
its members, and they and their successors are
hereby ordained and declared a body politic and
corporate in fact and in law, and by the title
aforesaid shall be able and capable in law to sue
and be sued, to plead and be impleaded in any
court of law or equity in this State or elsewhere
