Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the Treasurer,
on the warrant of the Comptroller, pay to the or-
der of Mrs. Benjamin G. Howard, Mrs. Charles
Howard, Mrs. John B. Latrobe, Mrs. James A.
Stewart, Mrs. James Hoffman, Mrs. Thomas Mur-
doch, Mrs. John Duer, and Mrs. Bayard Smith,
or any three of them, of the Ladies' Southern In-
dustrial Association of Baltimore, the sum of ten
thousand dollars, and to Mrs. Peyton Harrison,
Miss Mary Frick, Miss Hester Stiles, Mrs. William
Kimmel, Mrs. Dubois Egerton, and Mrs. Dr.
Carr, or to the order of any three of them, of the
Ladies' Southern Relief Association of Baltimore,
the sum of ten thousand dollars, to the ladies of
each of these associations, to be by them disbursed
and used for the purposes indicated in the prece-
ding Section.

Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect on the first day of May, eighteen hun-
dred and sixty-eight.

CHAPTER 291.
AN ACT to incorporate the Worthington Valley
and Manchester Railroad Company.

SECTION 1. Se it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That a Corporation be, and is here-
by created and chartered, by the name of the
Worthington Valley and Manchester Railroad
Company, for the purpose of constructing, main-
taining and working a railroad from some point
at or near Cockeysville, in Baltimore County, to
Manchester, in Carroll County.
