may be received at any time afterwards ; and all
expenses incurred by said inquisition shall be paid
by said Corporation.

 

Sec. 8. And be it enacted, That for the purpose
of making repairs from time to time on the said
boom, piers, levees, and embankments, and for
drifting, rafting, and securing logs and timber the
said Corporation, by its agents and employees are
authorized to use and occupy temporarily the land
on each shore of said river not under cultivation,
and to pass and repass to and from said booms,
piers, embankments and dams and locks con-
structed by the said Corporation, subject to the
payment to the owner or owners of the land so
used or occupied of such actual damage as they
may suffer from such temporary use and occupa-
tion of the same.

Repairs.

Sec. 9. And be it enacted. That whenever the
words "logs or timber" occurs in this Act, it
shall be taken to mean logs and lumber of every
kind and description, manufactured or unmanu-
factured.

Sec. 10. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from and after its passage, and the Le-
gislature reserves the right to alter, amend or
repeal this Act at pleasure.

CHAPTER 249.

AN ACT to add a new Section to Article sixteen
of the Code of Public General Laws entitled
"Chancery," under sub-title "Infants," relat-
ing to the sales of real estate of infants.

 

SECTION 1. Se it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the following section relating
to the sales of real estate of infants be added to
Article sixteen of the Code of Public General Laws
entitled " Chancery." sub-title "Infants."
