CHAPTER 237.
AN ACT to incorporate the Baltimore Ice Com-
pany.

|
SECTION 1 . Be it enacted by the General Assembly
cf Maryland, That Geo. G. Presbury, Jr., Andrew
J. George, Patrick H. Sullivan, Jas. W. Boyle,
Lewis A. Thomas and Charles Darrell, and all
and every person or persons who, with them or in
their stead, shall hereafter become associated with
them, their successors and assigns, shall be and
are hereby created and declared to be a body cor-
porate and politic, by the name and style of the
Baltimore Ice Company, and by that name shall
and may have perpetual succession, and be capa-
ble in law of purchasing, holding, improving and
disposing of property, real, personal and mixed,
for the purpose herein authorized, and may sue
and be sued, plead and be impleaded, answer and
defend in all Courts of Law and Equity, and may
make, execute and deliver, and have or cause to be

made, executed and delivered to them, all deeds,
transfers, grants, covenants, contracts, agreements
and bargains, whatsoever necessary for the pur-
pose and objects of said Company, and may use
and have a common seal, which they shall have
power to alter and renew at pleasure, and gener-
ally to do every other act or thing necessary to
carry into effect the object and provisions of said
Act, not inconsistent with the laws of this State,
or of the United States, and to ordain and estab-
lish such by-laws and regulations as they shall
