CHAPTER 233.
AN ACT to amend the Charter of the Philadel-
phia, Wilmington and Baltimore Railroad
Company.
|
Preamble.
|
WHEREAS, Doubts have arisen in regard to the
liabilities of the Philadelphia, Wilmington and
Baltimore Railroad Company under its Charter to
be taxed on account of the bridges erected on the
the line of said road ; and whereas no similar pro-
perty in this State is subject to taxation, now
therefore,

Exempt from
tax.
|
SECTION 1 . Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That all bridges erected or to be
erected on the line of the said Philadelphia, Wil-
mington and Baltimore Railroad, and forming
part of said Railroad, are hereby declared to be
exempt from assessment and taxation for both
State and county purposes.
