	CHAPTER 229. AN ACT to authorize and direct the State Libra- rian to subscribe for a sufficient number of Simon J. Martinet's large maps of the State of Mary- land, to furnish each school house in the State, not already supplied therewith, with one copy of said map.
Subscribe for map.	SECTION 1 . Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland , That the State Librarian be and he is hereby authorized and directed to subscribe for as many copies of Simon J. Martinet's large map of Maryland, containing the new County of Wicomi- co, as will be sufficient to furnish one copy thereof to each Public School in the State not already sup- plied therewith, and to academies endowed by the State, provided that the price per copy shall not exceed the sum of seven dollars, and that the said Simon J. Martinet shall be at the risk and expense of the transportation of the maps to the Presidents of the Boards of School Commissioners for the several counties, to be by them distributed to the schools under their charge, and the receipts of said Presidents shall be vouchers to the Comptroller, and that said maps be furnished and delivered as aforesaid within one year from the passage of this Act.
Treasurer to pay.	Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the State Trea- surer be and he is hereby authorized and required, upon the warrant of the Comptroller, to pay for such of said maps as are delivered according to the provisions of this Act.
In force.	Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect from the date of its passage. Approved March 28, 1868.
