judice the plaintiff's right to proceed against the
bond of the Sheriff by suit.

In force.

Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 204.

A SUPPLEMENT to an Act entitled "An Act to
incorporate the Baltimore and Cuba Smelting
and Mining Company," passed at December
Session, eighteen hundred and forty-four.

Change of
name.

SECTION 1 . Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the name of the Baltimore and
Cuba Smelting and Mining Company be and is
hereby changed to the name of the Baltimore Cop-
per Company, and that the said Baltimore and
Cuba Smelting and Mining Company shall be
hereafter known by the name of " The Baltimore
Copper Company," and shall under the name afore-
said have and succeed to all the rights, privileges,
powers and property of the said Baltimore and
Cuba Smelting and Mining Company, and shall
be subject to all the debts, engagements, contracts
and liabilities of the said last named Company, it
being the intent of this Act to effect no other
change in the said Baltimore and Cuba Smelting
and Mining Company excepting a change in the
name thereof, and except in such other particulars
as are in this Act set forth.

Stock re-
duced.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That the whole
capital stock of the said Baltimore and Cuba
Smelting and Mining Company, the name of which
is hereby changed as aforesaid into the name of
the Baltimore Copper Company, including the
original stock and all increased stock of said Com-
pany shall be reduced to sixteen thousand shares
of the par value of fifty dollars each the same
