Sec. 18. And be it enacted, That the said Com-
pany shall have full power to purchase and to hold
all real estate necessary or the purpose of said
Railroad or any of their works, to buy and build
houses and shops for corporate purposes, and when
the final survey of any part of said road shall be
made by the Company's engineer, such survey shall
be recorded in the Recorder's or Clerk's office of
Baltimore County and the records thereof shall
be evidence of the route and limits of said road.

Real estate.

Sec. 19. And be it enacted, That the General
Assembly hereby reserves to itself the right to
alter, amend or repeal this Act or any part thereof.

Reservation.
|
Sec. 20. And be it enacted. That the said road
shall be commenced within eighteen months and
completed in three years from the passage of this
Act otherwise this Charter shall be null and void.

Limit.
|
Sec. 21. And be it enacted. That this Act shall
take effect and have full operation from the day
of its passage.

AN ACT to incorporate the Frederick and Ejn-
mittsburg Railroad Company.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That John B. Kemkel, Dr. Wm. S.
McPherson, Joseph Byers, Joshua Motter, Daniel
G. Adelsperger, J. Alfred Ritter, Frederick White,
Frederick J. Nelson, be and they are hereby ap-
pointed Commissioners, under the direction of a
majority of whom subscriptions may be received
to the capital stock of the Frederick and Emmitts-
burg Railroad Company hereby incorporated, and
the said Commissioners or a majority of them may
cause books to be opened at such times and places
