Oath.

Sec. 23. And be it enacted, That every Presi-
dent and Director of said Company before entering
upon the duties of his office as hereinbefore pre-
scribed, shall swear or affirm, as the case may be,
that he will well and truly discharge the duties of
his office, to the best of his skill and judgment.

Limit.
|
Sec. 24. And be it enacted, That should this
road not be commenced within three years from the
passage of this Act, and be not finished within ten
years thereafter, then this Act shall be null and
void.

Sec. 25. And be it enacted, That nothing in this
Act shall be so construed as to authorize the said
Company to issue any note, token, scrip or other
evidence of debt to be used as a currency, and the
Legislature hereby reserves the right to alter,
amend or repeal this Act at pleasure.

In force.

Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 159.
AN ACT to alter and amend certain Sections,
and add additional Sections to Article twelve
of the Code of Public Local Laws, relating to
Havre de Grace, in Harford County.

Repealed and
re-enacted.
|
SECTION 1 . Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That Sections 42, 43, 44, 45, 46, 47,
48, 49, 50, 51, 54, 56, 57, 58, 59, 60, 61, 62 and
69 of Article twelve of the Code of Public Local
Laws, relating to Harford County and the Town
of Havre de Grace, be, and they are hereby re-
pealed and re-enacted, and certain additional Sub-
sections added to the said article, under the Sub-
title Havre de Grace, so as to read as follows :
