CHAPTER 108.
|
|
 
|
AN ACT to repeal Section one hundred and fifty-
nine, Article one, of the Code of Public Laws
of Allegany County, relating to Sheriffs, and to
re-enact the same with amendments.
|
|
Repealed and
re-enacted.
|
SECTION 1 . Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That Section one hundred and fifty-
nine, of Article one, of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Allegany County, relating to Sheriffs, be
and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted
with amendments.
|

Fifty cents

Sec. 159. And be it enacted, That he shall be en-
titled to fifty cents per day for each prisoner com-
mitted to the Jail of said county, and one dollar
for each prisoner brought out to court and returned
to Jail, and the following sums for taking convicts
|
|

penitentiary.

to the Penitentiary, to wit : when a single convict
is taken, forty-five dollars ; when two together,
thirty dollars each ; when more than two, twenty-
five dollars each, to be levied as other county
charges.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 109.
AN ACT to authorize the County Commissioners
of Allegany County to levy a sum of money for
improving a road running from Green Ridge,
on the National Turnpike, to Twigg's Lock on
the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal.
