CHAPTER 100.
AN ACT to release to William Watson all the
right and interest, of the State of Maryland in
and to the personal estate of Michael M.
Mitchell, late of Baltimore County, deceased.

Preamble.
|
WHEREAS, Michael M. Mitchell, late of Balti-
more County, departed this life intestate, possessed
of personal property to the amount of two thousand
three hundred dollars, and leaving William Wat-
son, who is a lunatic, his step-son ;
And whereas, Said William Watson is a lunatic
under the care and custody of a committee ap-
pointed by the Circuit Court for Baltimore
County, and is in needy circumstances; and
whereas the said personal estate, under the laws
of this State, would vest in the Public School of
said Baltimore County ;

Relinquish
interest.
|
SECTION 1 . Therefore be it enacted by the General
Assembly of Maryland, That the interest of the
State in the personal estate of the said Michael M.
Mitchell, deceased, be, and the same is hereby re-
leased to the said William Watson, and that he
shall receive, have and enjoy the same in the same
manner as if he, the said William Watson, had
been the child of the said Michael M. Mitchell,
deceased, any law to the contrary notwithstanding.

Sec 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.
