Sec. 12. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from and immediately after the date of
its passage, and the General Assembly reserves to
itself the right to alter, amend, or repeal this Act
at pleasure.

CHAPTER 84.
AN ACT authorizing the Commissioners appointed
under the Act of eighteen hundred and forty,
Chapter two hundred and fifteen and its several
supplements, to invest certain money remaining
in their hands.

SECTION 1. Se it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Commissioners under an
Act entitled "An Act for Clearing out of Poco-
moke River, in Worcester County, by Means of a
Lottery," passed at December Session eighteen
hundred and forty, Chapter two hundred and
fifteen, and the several supplements thereto, be and
they are hereby authorized to invest the sum of
two thousand one hundred dollars of the fund
realized by them and now in their hands unex-
pended in the first mortgage bonds of the Wicom-
ico and Pocomoke Railroad Company, said stock
to stand in the names of said Commissioners and
their successors, and the interest thereon to be ap-
plied to the purposes contemplated by the original
law and its supplements.

Sec 2. And be it enacted, That this law shall
take effect from its passage.
