since the formation of Wicomico County, shall he
included in the territory and boundaries of the

portions.

District known as Adkisson's Election District
number seven, except such portion of said District
number eight, lying on the east side of the road
leading from the furnace known as the Furnace
Road, from Salisbury to Snow Hill, which shall
he included in Colbourn's, Election District num-
ber six, and all the remaining portion and territory
of Colbourn's, Election District No. 6, so far as
the same remains within the limits of Worcester
County, he and the same is hereby established by
law as Colbourn's, Election District number eight.

Sec. 5. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 81.
|
|

AN ACT to make valid the levy of State Tax-
made by the County Commissioners of Allegany
County for the year eighteen hundred and sixty-
seven .
|
|
Preamble.
|
WHEREAS, the County Commissioners of Alle-
gany County, under a mistaken view of their duty
and powers, levied a tax of twelve cents on the
one hundred dollars for the use of the State, for
the year eighteen hundred and sixty-seven, upon
the basis of the assessment of the year eighteen
hundred and sixty-six, instead of a tax of twenty
cents on the one hundred dollars on the assessment
of the year eighteen hundred and fifty-two. And
whereas, the amount so levied for the use of the
State being as great as would have been realized
from the latter rate on the said assessment of
eighteen hundred and fifty-two ; in order, there-
fore, to avoid all difficulties arising from the man-
ner in which said levy was made, therefore,
