of hounds, within the limits of Wicomico County,
at a time when sportsmen are in pursuit of the

same.

 

Sec. 2. And le it enacted, That any person of-
fending against the first section of this Act shall
be fined a sum not exceeding ten dollars, at the
discretion of the Justice of the Peace before whom
he may be presented ; one-half of said fine to go
to the informer, the other half to be applied to the
use of the poor of said county, to be recovered as
other small debts are recovered.

Fined.

Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from and after the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 76.

 

AN ACT to repeal sections seventy-five and sev-
enty-six of Article twenty-one, Public Local
Laws, relating to the town of Clearspring, in
Washington County, and to re-enact the same,
with amendments, so as to read as follows :

 

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That, section seventy-five of Article
twenty-one, of the Public Local Laws, be and the
same is hereby repealed, and re enacted to read as

follows :

Sec. 75. He shall see that all ordinances of the
Corporations are faithfully executed, and shall, in
virtue of his office, have and exercise within the'
said town all the jurisdiction and powers of a Jus-
tice of the Peace, and in all cases of judgment for
misdemeanor and refusal to obey the ordinances of
said Corporations, which may have the approval of
a majority of the Commissioners, shall have power
to imprison for such periods of time, and in such
manner as the Burgess and Commissioners by or-
