		CHAPTER 68.
		AN ACT to authorize the County Commissioners of Washington County to purchase the Field Notes, Books and Record of Surveys, heretofore made within the limits of said county, and to levy such tax as may be necessary to defray the expenses of such purchase.
Purchase ori- ginal records.		SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the County Commissioners of Washington County be and are hereby empowered to purchase the original records, field notes and books of the different surveys of Washington County, which may have been made by its several County Surveyors, or other Surveyors, before and since its erection into a county, to be kept and pre- served with other records of the county.
Levy.		Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the said Com- missioners shall be and are hereby empowered to levy such assessment on the real and persona] pro- perty of said county, as shall raise a sufficient sum to pay for such records.
