respectively for the repair of their respective por-
tions of said roads, and also of the various items

of expenditures upon the same, accompanied by
the vouchers for the said expenditures ; and for
the performance of their duties under this Act,
the said superintendents shall severally be allowed,
as an item of said expenditures, the sum of two
dollars per day for each and every day in which
they may be actually engaged in making said re-
pairs, improvements and expenditures.

Sec. 6. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from and after the date of its passage.
The General Assembly reserves the right to alter,
amend or repeal this Act at pleasure.

CHAPTER 64.
AN ACT to authorize and require the Comptroller
and Treasurer to estimate the bonds of Kent
County, that may be issued by the County Com-
missioners of said county to pay for stock sub-
scribed in the Kent County Railroad Company,
at the average price at which they may be sold,
as cash paid towards the construction of the
Kent County Railroad.

SECTION 1 . Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Comptroller and Treasurer
of the State be and they are hereby required in
ascertaining the amount paid by subscribers for
Stock for the completion of the Kent County Rail-
road, to estimate the bonds of Kent County, issued
or to be issued for the payment of Kent County's
subscription to the stock of the Kent County
Railroad Company, at the average price at which
they may have been sold by the said Company, as
cash paid towards the stock of said Company ;
