1868.] OF THE SENATE. 733 Also, reported favorably House bill entitled a farther supplement to an Act entitled an Act to incorporate companies to make several turnpike roads through Baltimore county, and for other purposes, passed at the November session, 1804. Which was read the second time. Mr. Hammond, from the Committee on Chesapeake Bay and its Tributaries, reported favorably House bill entitled an Act to add a new section to Article 36, of the Code of Public General Laws, title "Estrays and Vessels Adrift." Which was read the second time. Mr. Walsh, from a select committee, reported favorably House bill entitled an Act to add an additional section to Article 96, of the Code of Public General Laws, regulating the charges on grain. Which was read the second time. On motion by Mr. Lee, The rules were suspended by the following vote: AFFIRMATIVE. Messrs. President, Hyland, Browne, Hammond, Biggs, Lee, Brewer, Maddox, Clarke, Miller, Carroll, Malone, Denson, Parker, of Calvert, Earle, Spates, Fields, Smith, Grove, Walsh, Henkle, Welch—21. NEGATIVE—None. And the House bill providing for the payment of pensions to Maryland soldiers of the war of 1812, and widows of such soldiers, Was read a third time and rejected by yeas and nays as follows: AFFIRMATIVE.
