664 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Mar. 25, EVENING SESSION, WEDNESDAY, March 25th, 8 o'clock, P. M. The Senate met pursuant to adjournment. Present at roll call. Messrs. President, Browne, Biggs, Brewer, Carroll, Earle,. Fields, Hyland, Lee, Maddox, Spates, Snyder, Smith, Walsh,, Welch—15. Senate bill entitled an Act to add a new Article to the Code of Public Local Laws, to be entitled Public Roads in Caroline county, Was taken up, and Mr. Fields offered the following amendment. Section 3, line 3, strike out "County Commissioners of the county," and insert the words, "Road Supervisors of the district in which he may reside. Which was adopted. And the bill as amended, passed by yeas and nays as follows: AFFIRMATIVE. Messrs. President, Hyland, Browne, Lee, Biggs, Maddox, Brewer, Spates, Clarke, Snyder, Carroll, Smith, Earle, Walsh, Fields, Welch—17. Henkle, NEGATIVE—None. The bill was then sent to the House of Delegates. On motion by Mr. Walsh, The Senate went into executive session. After a short session, the Senate resumed the consideration of legislative business. Mr. Compton offered the following order. Ordered, That the Senate do now proceed to consider the report of the Committee on Education to the exclusion of |
