House bill entitled an Act to incorporate the St. Martin's Inlet and Navigation Company, Was read a third time and passed by yeas and nays as fol- lows : AFFIRMATIVE. Messrs. Browne, Kimmel, Biggs, Lee, Clarke, Maddox, Carroll, Parker, of Calvert, Denson, Spates, Earle, Snyder, Grove, Smith, Henkle, Walsh—17. Hammond, NEGATIVE—None. The bill was then returned to the House of Delegates. Senate bill entitled an Act to grant pensions to persons named therein, Was taken up, And Mr. Henkle offered the following amendment : Amend by adding the name of R. B. Varden, of Carroll county. Which was adopted. Mr. Smith offered the following : Amend by adding the name of Alexander Tolly of Dor- chester county, a soldier of the war of 1812. Which was adopted. Mr. Snyder offered the following amendment : Amend by adding the name of James League of Baltimore city. On motion by Mr. Earle, Mr. Snyder's amendment, together with the bill, were ordered to lie on the table.
