1868.] OF THE SENATE. 503 Article 63 of the Code of Public General Laws of the State of Maryland, entitled Landlord and Tenant, to fdilow sec- tion 21, Was taken up, and Mr. Carroll offered the following amendments : Strike out all after crops, in third line, section 22, to line 5th, and the word lien, in the 6th line; strike out sec- tions 23 and 24. The question upon the adoption of said amendments was determined in the affirmative by yeas and nays as fol- lows : AFFIRMATIVE. Messrs. Browne, Lee, Clarke, Miller, Carroll, Malone, Earle, Smith, Fields, Walsh Hammond, Welch—12. NEGATIVE. Messrs. President, Grove, Brewer, Hyland, Denson, Snyder—6. The bill, as amended, was then read a third time, and passed by yeas and nays, as follows : AFFIRMATIVE. Messrs.
