Senate bill entitled an Act to amend and to enlarge the powers conferred by the Act entitled an Act relating to the manner of holding and transmitting the title to certain church property therein mentioned, passed at December ses- sion, 1832, chapter 308, Was read a third time and passed by yeas and nays as follows: AFFIRMATIVE. Messrs. President, Kimmel, Browne, Lee, Biggs, Maddox, Carroll, Miller, Earle, Spates, Fields, Snyder, Hyland, Walsh—15. Hammond, NEGATIVE—None. The bill was then sent to the House of Delegates. Senate bill entitled an Act to aid in the establishment of a hospital in connection with the Washington University of Baltimore, and to appropriate money for the same, Was read a third time and rejected (for want of a Con- stitutional majority) by yeas and nays as follows : AFFIRMATIVE. Messrs. Browne, Hammond, Carroll, Kimmel, Earle, Maddox, Fields, Miller, Henkle, Snyder, Hyland, Walsh—12. NEGATIVE. Messrs. President, Lee, Biggs, Spates—5. Grove, Mr. Earle gave notice that he would, at some future time, move a reconsideration of the above vote. |
