" In the 8th line of section 1 after the word "Antietam" insert the words " and Monocacy." Which were read and adopted, And the bill as amended was then passed by yeas and nays as follows: AFFIRMATIVE. Messrs. Browne, Lee, Clarke, Maddox, Carroll, Parker, of Calvert, Denson, Spates, Earle, Snyder, Grove, Smith, Henkle, Walsh, Hyland, Welch—16. NEGATIVE—None. The bill was then returned to the House of Delegates. Mr. Earle presented the petition of St. Anthony's Orphan Asylum, to refund State taxes. Which was referred to the Committee en Finance. Also, petition of the Redemptorists to refund State taxes. Which was referred to the Committee on Finance. On motion by Mr. Henkle, The order of the day being House bill entitled a supple- ment to an Act of incorporation, passed at December session 1849, chap. 34, Was made the order of the day for Tuesday, March 3d. House bill entitled an Act authorizing the Howard Bank of the city of Baltimore to cancel and extinguish capital stock owned and held by said bank, Was read a third time and passed by yeas and nays as folows AFFIRMATIVE.
