papers destroyed or injured by fire in the office of the Clerk
of the Circuit Court for Baltimore county, passed January
session, 1867, chapter 234.

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Grove, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
reported a bill entitled an Act to release George W. Ken-
nerly, a minor, of Wicomico.

Which was read the first time.

Senate bill entitled a supplement to an Act of incorpora-
tion passed at December session, 1849, chapter 34,

Being under consideration,

Mr. Henkle offered the following amendment:

Annex at end of 2d section, provided, that nothing herein
contained shall be so construed as to confer upon said com-
pany the right to use as a landing, the wharf known as the
county wharf, nor to deprive or interfere with the use thereof
by the citizens of the counties of the State.

On motion by Mr. Snyder,

The further consideration of the bill and amendment was
postponed until Tuesday the 18th inst.

Senate bill entitled an Act to establish Physician's lien,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed
for a third reading.

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 3, 9, 16, 17
and 87 of Article 73 of the Code of Public General Laws
relating to the Maryland Penitentiary, and to substitute in
lieu of sections 3, 9, 16, 17 and 87 the following.

Mr. Kimmel moved to postpone the further consideration
of the bill until Wednesday, 19th instant.

Which was rejected by yeas and nays as follows :
