Clarke, Malone,

Carroll, Parker, of Calvert,

Fields, Spates,

Grove, Snyder,

Henkle, Walsh—16.

NEGATIVE—None.
The bill was then returned to the House of Delegates.

The President announced the hour for the order of the
day.

On motion by Mr. Grove,

The order was postponed for five minutes, and he then
submitted the following message :

BY THE SENATE,

February 7, 1868.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates :

We propose, with the concurrence of your Honorable Body,
that a joint special committee of three on the part of the Sen-
ate, and four oil the part the House, be appointed, to whom
shall be referred all propositions looking to a removal of the
Tobacco Warehouses of the State from their present location.

We name on the part of the Senate Messrs. Grove, Parker,
of Calvert, and Snyder.

By order,

A. GASSAWAY,

Secretary.

Which was adopted,

And the President appointed on the part of the Senate,
agreeably to the message, Senators Grove, Henkle and Sny-
der.

On motion by Mr. Henkle,

He was excused from serving on said committee, and Sen-
ator Parker, of Calvert, was appointed in his place.

The order of the day being the

House bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 2 and 6, of chap-
ter 76, of the Act passed December session, 1847, entitled an
Act to incorporate a company in the town of Hagerstown, in
Washington county, to be styled the Hagerstown Lyceum,
