Mr. Snyder submitted the following message to the House
of Delegates, in reply :

BY THE SENATE,
February 6, 1868.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates :

We have received your message requesting this Body to
recede from certain amendments made to House bill, entitled
"an Act to incorporate the Continental Fire and Marine
Insurance Company of Baltimore," and to which amend-
ments, your Body refused its concurrence. We would re-
spectfully inform you, that the Senate adheres to the amend-
ments referred to, and desires that the House may reconsider
its vote of non-concurrence therein.

Secretary.
Which was adopted,

And sent to the Souse of Delegates, with the bill therein
referred to.

Also

Delivered House bill entitled an Act to incorporate the
Maryland Permanent Land and Building Society of Balti-
more.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Corporations.

Mr. Parker, of Calvert, reported Senate bill entitled an
Act to repeal the 32d section of the 5th Article of the Public
Local Laws, entitled Calvert County, relating to Justices of
the Peace and Constables, and provide for three additional
Justices of the Peace for said county.

Which was read the first time.
On motion by Mr. Snyder,

The vote by which the House bill entitled an A.ct to open
West Fayette street extended, into Baltimore county, was
passed, was reconsidered, and the bill recommitted to the
Senators from Baltimore city, Harford and Baltimore coun-
ties.

Senate bill entitled an Act to incorporate Chester Lodge,
No. 115, of Ancient, Free and Accepted Masons.
