Was read a second time.

Mr. Fields, from a select committee, reported favorably

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 2, 3, 4 and 5
of Article 45 of the Code of Public General Laws, relating to
Usury, and to re-enact the same with amendments,

Which, was read the first time.

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal a proviso in the fourth
section of the Act passed at January session, 1857, chapter
150, entitled an Act to amend the charter of the Kent
County Rail Road Company, to secure the completion of said
road by the issuing of additional bonds of the company, and
to provide for the payment of the State's subscription. for
stock in said company, to waive the State's lien relating to
the State's payment of one-fourth of her subscription for
stock in one year, and to re-enact the said section as
amended,

Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

Senate bill entitled an Act to permit the citizens of Hoopers
Island, Dorchester county, to snoot and take wild fowl from
sink boats, blinds or otherwise, for home consumption,

Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

Senate bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Trustees of
the Bethlehem Methodist Episcopal Church, South, Taylors
Island, Dorchester county,

Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

House bill entitled an Act to amend the 43d section of the
29th Article of the Code of Public General Laws, relating to
the compensation of the crier of the Court of Appeals, and
of the Sheriff appointed to attend said Court, and the Act of
1862, chapter 107, amending the same by repealing the same
and enacting a substitute therefor,

Was read the third time, and,
The yeas and nays being called resulted as follows :
