stitutions amounting to $11,500, ordered by the General
Assembly is included in the $48,500.

Your Committee respectfully recommend the ratification
of the proposed contract. It may not he out of place to say,
that the State will save $20,000, in the expenditure of print-
ing as compared with the last session of the Legislature. It
may be well to remark that all the members of the Commit-
tee were present, and the vote was unanimous for the above
contract.

All of which is respectfully submitted,

Which was adopted.

Mr. Slingluff, Chairman of the Committee on Internal
Improvements, reported

The bill entitled an Act to improve the draw in the bridge
across the Potomac River New Town, in Worcester, and
asked to be discharged from the further consideration of the
same.

The Committee was discharged.

The bill then being upon a second reading.

Mr. Corbin submitted the following amendments :

Section 2, line 1, strike out the word 'Somerset,' line two,
strike out the word 'and,' line 7, strike out the words'in
equal proportions.'

Pending the consideration of which

On motion of Mr. Smith, of Baltimore city,

The further consideration of the hill was indefinitely post-
poned.

The House then proceeded to the consideration of the un-
finished business of the morning's session, being

The bill entitled an Act for the relief of the Faculty of
Physic of the University of Maryland,

Which was passed by yeas and nays as follows :
