those requiring the same to be done ; for every ten words

or figures written, and so pro rata, 1 1/4

For recording or copying all plots made by surveyors,
|
|
which may be filed in office, when so required either by
|
|
law, or an individual, the same fees as are by law limited
|
|
and allowed to surveyors for the performance of like or
|
|
similar services.
|
|
For recording or transcribing any other matter or thing
|
|
required by law, or the parties, to be recorded or tran-
|
|
scribed, not herein before particularly enumerated, and
|
|
for which no other allowance hath already been specifi-
|
|
cally made, for every ten words or figures written, and
|
|
so pro rata, 1
|
|
For alphabeting every instrument, proceeding, paper, or
|
|
other matter, recorded in the office, and endorsing or
|
|
entering thereon a certificate referring to the record, for
|
|
every ten words and figures necessarily written for that
|
|
purpose, and so pro rata, 1 1/4
|
|
But this provision shall not be so construed as to extend
|
|
to any alphabets or indices made to the dockets of actions,
|
|
suits or prosecutions.
|
|
For all other services, matters or things, not herein before
|
|
particularly enumerated, and for which no specific allow-
|
|
ance may have been already provided, the same fees as
|
|
are herein after prescribed and allowed to the clerics of
|
|
the several county courts of this state, for the like or
|
|
similar services, and no more.
|
|
SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That from and after the com-

mencement of the operation of this act, there shall be limited

dered in virtue of their respective offices, instead of the fees

heretofore rated and established by law, the following fees,
|

agreeably to the particular arrangement and classification there-
|
|
of, and no more ; that is to say,
|
|
I. In prosecutions either at Law or in Equity, usually de-
|
|
nominated 'Civil Cases.'

For filing every declaration, pleading, order, or other paper,
|
|
matter or thing, necessary or required to be filed in his
|
|
office, (to be charged but once,) for each, 5

For the docket entry of every personal appearance of each
|
|
individual party, whether plaintiff or defendant, appellant
|
|
