OYSTERS.

 

Any citizen of this state may locate and appropriate in any of the bays,

 

sounds, rivers, creeks or coves, not exceeding one acre in extent, for

 

the purpose of sowing oysters, or other shell fish ; and when so

 

deposited, &c. they shall be his rightful properly ; Provided, he

 

shall have staked or marked off, so as to be distinctly defined, the

 

said location, described in writing, under oath, and have the same

 

recorded in the office of the clerk of the county ; And provided

 

a/so, such location shall not obstruct navigation, &c. — 1829, ch. 87,
