BAILIFFS AND CONSTABLES— COURT-HOUSE.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the commissioners aforesaid
be, and they are hereby authorized and empowered to carry
into full effect and operation, all the provisions of this act, as
well as the aforesaid act of eighteen hundred and twelve, that
are not repugnant to, or inconsistent with the provisions of an
act to abolish the levy court, and provide for the election, by
the people, of commissioners for Talbot county, and prescrib-
ing their powers and duties, passed at December session,
eighteen hundred and thirty, chapter thirty-eight.

BAILIFFS AND CONSTABLES.
AN ACT to authorize and empower the Levy Court of Talbot County to
assess and levy a sum of Money for the purpose therein mentioned.
1821, ch. 25.

SEC. 1. Be it enacted, by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the bailiffs and constables of Talbot county, while attend-
ing the county courts, shall each receive two dollars for every
day he may attend the same.

Compensa-
tion.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted. That the levy court of Talbot
county, be, and they are hereby authorized and empowered,
to levy on the assessable property of said county, all such
sums as the said bailiffs and constables are entitled to in virtue
of this act.

county, together with the court-house, and other buildings
and improvements thereon, be, and the same are hereby
vested in the justices of the levy court for the time being, for

shore, and of the county court of Talbot county, and for such
other county or state purposes as to the levy court may seem
