SEC. 13. And be it enacted. That in case of a failure to elect
a commissioner in any of the said districts, by reason of a tie,
it shall be the duty of the sheriff of Saint Mary's county upon
receiving official information of the fact from the clerk of said

missioner from said district, upon at least ten day's notice, ex-
clusive of the day of holding such election ; and the judges of
election for said election district, shall hold the same, under
the regulations herein before provided, for the regular election

Mary's County to fix and regulate the rates of Public Inns. — 1825, ch. 144.

SEC. 1. Be it enacted, by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That from and after the passage of this act, the justices of the
levy court of Saint Mary's county, be, and they are hereby au-
thorized, empowered, and directed, at their next meeting, and
from time to time thereafter as in their judgment they may
think fit, to establish and regulate the rates of all public inns
and taverns in Saint Mary's county.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That all laws repugnant to the
provisions of this act, be, and the same are hereby repealed.

AN ACT to regulate the pay of the Justices of Orphans Courts of the
