SEC. 1. Be it enacted ', by f he General Assembly of Maryland,
That the tax provided to be levied by the fourth section of the
act to which this is a further supplement, shall be one dollar,
instead of the sum of eight dollars, as provided by the fourth
section as aforesaid.

Repealing
clause.
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That so much of the act of assem-
bly, to which this is a further supplement, as may be inconsis-
tent herewith, or as by this act may be rendered unnecessary,
be and the same is hereby repealed, and all other laws of the
state, which may be repugnant to this law and inconsistent
therewith shall be and are hereby declared to be also repealed.

SEC. 1. Be it enacted, by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That in case the trustees of any school district should not be
able to purchase or lease a suitable site for the erection of their
school-house, they shall have power to value and assess a con-
venient lot, with the improvements thereon, if any, not exceed-
ing one acre of land for that purpose, and the decision of the
said trustees, as to the worth of the said land and improve-
