quired and directed, by the levy court of said county to per-
form, in virtue of this act, without fee or reward, and he shall
keep in a well bound book or books, to be provided for the
purpose, by order of the said levy court, fair and correct ac-
counts and statements of the proceedings of said court, in rela-
tion to the proportion of the school fund, to which the said
county is, or hereafter may be entitled, exhibiting, in a parti-
cular manner, how the same has or may be appropriated and
disposed of, which said book or books shall be kept open and
accessible to the examination and inspection of the citizens of
the county, and all other persons that may be interested, or in
any way concerned therein.

SEC. 7. And be it enacted. That the said commissioners shall
be entitled to the additional compensation of one dollar for
every day necessarily engaged in the discharge of the duties
herein prescribed, the same to be paid out of the aforesaid
dividends and funds.

SEC. 8. And be it enacted. That any law or any part of the
law, to which this is a supplement, inconsistent with this act,
be, and the same is hereby repealed.

A SUPPLEMENT to an ACT, entitled, an Act to distribute the School Fund
in Montgomery County. — 1833, ch. 10.

Repealing
clause.

SEC. 1. Be it enacted, by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the school commissioners under the act to which this is a
supplement, shall hereafter be appointed in the manner pre-
scribed by said act on the first Monday in April, annually ;

Provided nevertheless, that nothing in this act shall be so con-
strued as to alter or change the mode of filling up vacancies aa
therein provided for.

A SUPPLEMENT to an ACT, entitled an Act to provide for the Public
Instruction of Youth in Primary Schools throughout this State, passed
December session, eighteen hundred and twenty-five, chapter one hun
dred and sixty -two, so far as relates to Montgomery County.— 1835,
ch. 296.

Proviso.

SEC. 1. Be it enacted, by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the commissioners of primary schools of Montgomery
county, be, and they are hereby authorized and directed tc
apportion among the school districts in said county, according
to the number of children in the said districts, between the
ages of seven and eighteen years, the dividends or profits
arising on the school fund already invested; also all the moneys
which may accrue and become payable to said county, to be
appropriated for the support of primary schools, in said county ;
and so soon as the inhabitants of any school district in said
county, shall have built, or otherwise provided a school-house,
and employed a teacher in said district, six months, and as
