ROADS.

•1943

Frederick county at the levy court shall, for every old wolf's
head be allowed sixteen dollars, and for every young wolfs
head be allowed eight dollars, to be by the said justices as-
sessed and levied in the county levy, together with the
sheriff's or collector's commission for collecting the same,
and to be paid by the sheriff or collector to such person or
persons as shall be entitled to the same as aforesaid, any thing
in any other law to the contrary notwithstanding.

 

SEC. 4. This act to continue and be in force for four years,
and to the end of the next session of assembly which shall
happen thereafter.

A further additional SUPPLEMENT to an ACT, entitled, an Act relating to
Public Roads in this State, and to repeal the acts of Assembly therein
mentioned— 1806, ch. 59.

Duration.

SEC. 1. Be it enacted, by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That so much of the fifth section of the said original act,
passed at November session, seventeen hundred and ninety-
four,* as requires an application in writing, signed by two-
thirds of the inhabitants of any hundred or hundreds, so far as
it relates to Frederick county, be and the same is hereby
repealed, and the levy court of said county may, in their dis-
cretion, ptoceed as in said section is directed, upon an applica-
tion in writing, signed by a number of respectable inhabitants
of such hundred or hundreds.

SEC. 2. Aaitl be it enacted, That so much of the seventh sec-
tion of the said original act, as directs the several supet visors
to give bond, with such secmity as shall be appioved by the
said justices, be and the same is hereby repealed, so far as it
relates to Frederick county, and instead thereof, every super-
visor appointed by the levy court of said county may, in the
recess of said court, give bond to the state of Maryland, with
such security as shall be approved of by any one of the jus-
tices of the said court, or their clerk, provided such security
shall establish, to the satisfaction of said justice or clerk, that
he is seized and possessed, in his own right, of a clear free-
hold estate of the value of double the money to be expended
by said supervisor.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted. That it shall not hereafter be
considered the duty of any supervisor of Frederick county to
advertise, previous to their working on the roads, as required
by the twelfth section of the original act.
