SEC. 1. Be it enacted, by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That there shall be annually hereafter appointed seven visitors

pointed by the mayor and city council of Baltimore, in the
manner other city officers are now appointed, and three by the
commissioners of Baltimore county, at such time as to them
shall seem expedient.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said visitors so appointed
shall have and exercise all the powers, and shall perform all
the duties in relation to the jail of Baltimore city and county,
which are authorized and required by the act of December ses-

tled, an act relating to the jail of Baltimore city and county.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That so much of the act of
December session, eighteen hundred and thirty-one, chapter
fifty-eight, which is inconsistent with the provisions of this
act, be, and the same is hereby repealed.

SEC. 1. Be it enacted, by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That from and after the passage of this act, each and every juror
summoned on the regular panel of jurors to Baltimore county
courts, be, and he is hereby entitled to receive, in lieu of his
present per diem, the sum of two dollars for each and every
day's attendance.
By 1827, ch. 80, sec. 3, ante page 1459, jurymen summoned to attend
Baltimore county court from the city, are allowed a per diem of one dollar.
