COUNTY COMMISSIONERS.

SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That the commissioners, or a
majority of them, are hereby Authorized to be elected or Ap-
pointed by the provisions of this Or the act to which this is &
supplement, shall have, hold and exercise all the powers, rights,
privileges and immunities that the commissioners of said
county now do in conformity to the provisions of the said
original act and the several supplements thereto, and they shall
take and subscribe the same oath or affirmation before they
enter upon the duties of their office, as is now required by the
provision of the act to which this is a supplement.

SEC. G. And be it enacted, That all such parts of the act,
entitled, an act to provide for electing the commissioners for
Baltimore county and prescribing their duties, passed December
session, eighteen hundred twenty-six, chapter two hundred and
seventeen, and the several supplements and amendments there-
to, as are inconsistent with the provisions of this act, be and
the same are hereby repealed.

AN ACT relating to certain Claims on Baltimore County. — 1835, ch. 102.

Re pealing
clause.

SEC. 1. Be it enacted, by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That all claims upon Baltimore county, for which levies have
been heretofore made, and for which payments respectively,
shall not be demanded from the treasurer of the county within
one year after the passage of this act, shall be declared to be
forfeited to the use of the county, and the moneys levied as
aforesaid, shall be thenceforth applicable to the payment of the
current expenses of the said county.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That all claims upon Baltimore
county, for which levies shall hereafter be made by authority
of the commissioners of the county, and for which payment re-
spectively shall not be demanded from the treasurer of the
county, within three years after the levy list shall be com-
pleted, which provided for such claims, shall be deemed to be
forfeited to the use of said county, and the moneys so levied
shall be thereafter applicable to the payment of the current ex-

penses of the said county ; Provided however, that the commis-
sioners of Baltimore county may, in their discretion, levy anew
for any claim upon the county, barred as aforesaid, by the pro-
visions of this act, except that no interest shall be allowed upon
any such claim.

WHEREAS, by an act of the general asserhbly, passed at
December session, eighteen hundred and thirty-five, chapter
twenty-eight, Baltimore county was divided into three separate
election districts, for the purpose of electing two commissioners
