der seal or otherwise, to individuals, copies or extracts of any
papers or records in their office, (of which copies or extracts
may by law be required, or by their permission granted,) and
the said clerk shall be entitled to demand and receive for such
copies and extracts, and for affixing the seal thereto, the same
fee or charge as the clerk of Baltimore county court is uow by
law entitled to demand and receive for like services ; which fee
or charge shall be paid at the time the respective service is ren-
dered, by the person or persons requiring the same.

SEC. 10. And be it enacted, That the commissioners of Balti-
more county shall be, and they are hereby authorized to hold
their sessions at any time, in their discretion, throughout the
year, and may perform any portion of their duties at any such
session, including in such duties the allowance of transfers of
property, and notwithstanding an act or part of any act of
assembly to the contrary.

SEC. 11. And be it enacted, That all the acts and proceedings
of the commissioners of Baltimore county, relative to the busi-
ness and concerns of the said county, and all levies, all bonds
taken, all contracts entered into, and all expenditures autho-
rized by them heretofore, shall be held effectual, valid and
binding.

AN ACT Supplemental to an Act, entitled, an Act to provide for electing
Commissioners for Baltimore County, and prescribing their Powers and
Duties.— 1832, ch. 285.

Be it enacted, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the person who shall have received the highest number of votes
as commissioner of Baltimore county, at any election in which
two commissioners shall have been chosen, shall be entitled to
serve three years, and the other only the residue of the term
that had been vacated by death, resignation, refusal, or neglect
to qualify, removal, or expiration of an appointment; and if at
any time it shall become necessary to elect three commissioners,
the person who shall have received the highest number of votes
shall be entitled to serve three years, the next highest two
years, and the next one year; and if an equal number of votes
shall be given to two or more persons, one of whom would
otherwise have been elected, the judges of the election shall, in
that event, determine the election between those persons by lot,
and certify said proceeding in their return of such election.
Every provision in this act, save that portion of it which regards the
contingency of an equal number of voles, being cast in the choice of the
commissioners is merged in 1835, ch. 28, sec. 2.
