BALTIMORE CITY.

 

mistress of any dwelling-house, shall refuse to give information
of the name or names of any person or persons residing with
him or her, liable to militia duty, when applied to for that pur*
pose by the commanding officer aforesaid, or shall give any
false information upon such application, every such person so
offending shall forfeit the sum of ten dollars for each offence
which shall be recovered under the direction of said command-
ing officer ; and if any person liable to militia duty upon the
application to him personally by said commanding officer, shall
either refuse to give his name or not give his name truly, every
such person so offending shall forfeit ten dollars, to be recovered
under the direction of said officer; and if any officer, non-com-
missioned officer ,or private, shall neglect or refuse to comply
with any of the provisions of this section as required of him, he
shall be cashiered or fined a sum not exceeding one hundred
dollars, in the discretion of such court martial as the case may
require.

SEC. 12. And be if enacted, That if any enrolling officer as
aforesaid, shall omit to enroll any person or persons liable to
militia duty within his district within the time aforesaid, he or
his successor in office shall enroll such person or persons, as
well as those who may, from time to time, arrive at the age of
eighteen years, whenever the same shall come to the knowledge
of said officer, who in making said enrollment shall be attended
by one or more of his officers, non-commissioned officers or pri-
vates, whom he may select if he should deem it necessary ; and
the said enrollment shall be entered on the company book of
said officer, and a return thereof made forthwith to the com-
manding officer of his regiment ; and if any officer, non-com-
missioned officer or private, shall neglect or refuse to comply
with any of the provisions of this section as required of him,
he shall be cashiered or fined a sum not exceeding one hun-
dred dollars if a commissioned officer, twenty-five dollars if a
non-commissioned officer, and ten dollars if a private, in the
discretion of such court martial as the case may require.

Division,
regimental
and com-
pany pa-
rades.

SEC. 13. And be it enacted, That all the officers, non-com-
missioned officers, privates and musicians composing the said
division, shall assemble for militia duty on the day as herein
after mentioned and as herein directed for the division review ;
and all the regimental, field, staff and company officers, non-
commissioned officers, privates and musicians of each regiment,
shall assemble for militia duty on the day as herein after men*
tioned and as herein directed for the regimental parade ; and all
the company officers, non-commissioned officers, privates and
musicians of each company, shall assemble for militia duty on
the days as herein after mentioned and as herein directed for the
company parades, viz : the companies of the fifth regiment of
