Sec. 1, Be it enacted^ by the General Assembly of Maryland,

for killing

That k shall and may be lawful for the justices of the levy

 

court of Allegany county, to allow such sum as in their skill

 

and judgment they may think right and proper, in addition to

 

the sum already allowed by law, for every old or young wolf

 

or panther, caught and killed within the limits of Allegany

 

county; Provided, such additional compensation shall not

 

exceed the sum of five dollars.

AN ACT to provide for the purchase of Land, and the erection thereon oi

 

an Alms-house in Allegaoy County. — 1832, ch. 244.

WHEREAS, it is represented to this general assembly, by the

 

petition of sundry citizens of Allegany county, that there is no

 

house for the reception of the poor within said county, and that

 

they are satisfied that the comfort and accommodation of such

 

persons would be greatly subserved and promoted, as well as

 

that the taxable inhabitants of said county, would be relieved

 

from much unnecessary and onerous taxation, by the establish-

 

ment in said couuty, for the reception and accommodation of

 

all persons therein disabled by age, decrepitude or otherwise,

 

from procuring the means of support; therefore,
