SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That the several accounts of the

said superintendent shall be audited quarterly by some disin-

terested person or persons, who shall be appointed by the exe-

cutive for that purpose, and who shall act under oath, and who
|
|
|
shall be allowed for such service two dollars per day, to be paid

out of the tolls collected on said toad.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That from and after the passage
|

of this act, the superintendent of said road allow the toll gatherer,
|
gate keeper.

|
at gate number one, at the rate of three hundred dollars per
|
|
|
annum for his services as such, until gate number two shall be
|
|
|
erected and in use.

SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That any thing contained in the
|

act to which this is a supplement, contrary to the provisions of
|
- clause.

this act, be, and the same is hereby repealed.
|
|

CHAPTER 68.
|
|
|
AN ACT relating to the Record of the Proceedings of the Convention
|
|
|
which established the Declaration of Rights, and the Constitution and
|
|
|
Form of Government of this State.
|
|
|
WHEREAS, no copy of the proceedings, referred to in the title
|
Preamble.
|
|
of this act, nor of the declaration of right nor the constitution
|
|
|
and form of government of this state, has ever been deposited
|
|
|
with the records of the laws of this state; And whereas , a manu-
|
|
|
script copy of the same is now deposited in the Library of this
|
|
|
state, and it is fit and proper that the records of the laws should
|
|
|
be full and complete, that authentic copies theieof may be
|
|
|
furnished by the proper officers, duly attested and certified;
|
|
|
therefore,
|
|
|
Be it enacted, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
|

|
the manuscript copy of the proceedings aforesaid, shall be de-
|
deposited.
|
|
posited by the librarian in the office of the court of appeals for
|
|
|
the western shore of this state, there to be, remain and continue,
|
|
|
and be preserved and used as one of the law records of this state,
|
|
|
from which extracts and copies may and shall be taken, and
|
|
|
certified as in other cases.
|
|
|
CHAPTER 97.
|
|
|
AN ACT to authorize the appointment of Commissioners to take the
|
|
|
acknowledgment of Deeds and instruments of Writing, under seal, out
|
|
|
of the State of Maryland.
|
|
|
SEC. 1. Be it enacted, by the General Assembly of Maryland,
|

That the governor, by and with the advice and consent of the

senate, be, and he is hereby authorized to name, appoint and

|

commission one or more commissioners in each, or such of the
|
|
|
other states or territories of the United States, or in the District
|
|
|
of Columbia, as he may deem expedient, which commissioners
|

shall continue in office during the pleasure of the governor;
