A further SUPPLEMENT to the ACT, entitled, an Act for amending and
reducing into System, the Laws and regulations concerning Last Wills
and Testaments, the duties of Executors, Administrators and Guardians,
and the rights of Orphans, and other Representatives of Deceased
Persons.

SEC. 1. Be it enacted, by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That in all cases in which the mother is left the natural guardian
of her infant children, the orphans court of the several counties

A SUPPLEMENT to an ACT, entitled, an Act to Abolish the Office of
Trustee of the State, &c., passed at December session, eighteen hundred

SEC. 1. Be it enacted, by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the treasurer of the western shore, may in his discretion,
appoint and remove at pleasure, either one or two clerks to
assist him in the discharge of his duties, any thing in the third
section of the said original act to the contrary notwithstanding;

Provided always, that each clerk, before he acts as such, shall
take the oath therein directed.

Salary.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the salary by the fourth
section of the said original act, provided for the compensation
of his clerk, may by the said treasurer be paid to such one or
two clerks as he shall employ, and in such proportions as to
him shall seem proper.
