the said sheriffs shall be bound to receive the same for collec-
tion, and to account with, and pay to the said clerk, all sums of
money by them to be received thereon, in the same manner,
and at the same time, as they are now required to do by the
existing laws, any law or fisage to the contrary notwithstanding.

SEC. 2, And be it enacted, That the sureties of the said she-
riffs, shall be responsible for the performance of the duty of
their principals in this respect, to the same extent as they are
responsible for them, in relation to the fees of other officers.

SEC, 3. And be it enacted, That the provisions of this act,
are intended to take effect immediately, and to be applied to the
fees, by the said clerk to be sent out for collection, in this pre^
sent year, one thousand eight hundred and thirty-five.

CHAPTER 92.

A further SUPPLEMENT to the ACT, entitled, an Act for the relief of
sundry Insolvent Debtors, passed at November session, eighteen hun-
dred and five.*

Be it enacted, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the judge of any orphans court, to whom, by virtue of ths svjp-
plemerjt to the act to which this is 3 supplement, passed at
Deqernber session, eighteen hundred and seventeen, chapter
one hundred and eighty-three, any insolvent debtor may apply
for a discharge under the insolvent Uws of this state, may take
the acknowledgment of any conveyance of sqch applicant of
his estate, for the benefit of his creditors, prescribed to be exe-
cut^d by the said original aqt, or any pf the supplements
thereto, to the same effect as such acknowledgment may now
be taken by any two justices pf the peace.

 

CHAPTER 105.
A if ACT to extend to Executors and Administrators, the privilege of appeal
from Judgments rendered by Justices of the Peace, against their Testa-
tors or Intestates.

SEC. 1 . Be it enacted, by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That from and after the passage of this act, the privilege of ap-
peal from any judgment, rendered by any justice of the peace,
as is now allowed by law to any person who may think him or
herself aggrieved by the judgment of any justice of the peace,
shall be, and the same hereby is extended to all and every
executor or executors, administrator or administrators, of any
deceased defendant, against whom, in his life-time, any judg-
ment or judgments may have been rendered by any justice of
the peace as aforesaid.
