by some creditable witness, which said receipt may be filed in
the office of the clerk or register, where such judgment or decree
was rendered, and it shall thereupon be the duty of the said
courts respectively, immediately to enter the said judgment or

the case may be, shall be entitled to receive ten cents at the
time of making the same.

 

CHAPTER 298.
A further additional SUPPLEMENT to the ACT of December session,
eighteen hundred and twenty-seven, chapter one hundred and seven-
teen, entitled, an Act to regulate the issuing of Licenses to Traders,
Keepers of Ordinaries, and others.

Be it enacted, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
no tax shall be paid by any ordinary keeper, under the provi-
sions of the original act to which this is a further additional
supplement, or any of its supplements, exceeding the sum of
one hundred, nor less than eighteen dollars per annum ; which
sum shall be considered as including the tax of five percent, on
the rent or annual value directed to be assessed by the act of
the present session, entitled, an additional supplement to the
net passed at December session, eighteen hundred and twenty-
seven, chapter one hundred and seventeen, entitled, an act to
regulate the issuing of licenses to traders, keepers of ordinaries,
and others, any thing in the said additional supplement, to the
contrary notwithstanding.

 

CHAPTER 302.

 

A SUPPLEMENT to an ACT, entitled, an Act concerning the Judgments
and Judicial Proceedings of the Courts of Justice in this State, and to
provide for the completion of the Records in certain cases, passed at
December session, eighteen hundred and seventeen, chapter one hundred
and nineteen.

Preamble.

WHEREAS, the act to which this is a supplement, has been
construed to require the recording of all the judgments and
writs of execution, under which any one sale of lands or tene-
ments may take place, thus unnecessarily increasing expense to
the parties interested ; therefore,
